From LoveToKnow Ski
If you're looking for discount Colorado ski tickets, King Soopers may offer a viable option. King Soopers is a supermarket with locations in Denver and Summit County. However, in Dillon and Breckenridge, King Soopers is called City Market. These supermarkets may offer discount lift tickets for:
- Copper Mountain
- Breckenridge
- Keystone
- Vail
- Beaver Creek
- Arapahoe Basin
One-day or multi-day tickets may be purchased.

There might also be shorter lines at these locations.
Discount Ski Tickets - King Soopers
In addition to the above locations for discount ski tickets King Soopers and City Market, you can also find them at Safeway in Frisco, Colorado. However, these discounts are often less than impressive. Sometimes they amount to only two or three dollars off of full price. Keep in mind that in some cases, depending upon the resort, discount tickets may not be available. For example, during the spring break season of 2009, Vail Resorts, which includes Vail, Beaver Creek, Keystone and Breckenridge, did not offer any King Soopers, City Market or Safeway discounts. Fortunately, there are a number of other ways to get discount lift tickets for Summit County ski resorts.
Alternatives to King Soopers Ski Tickets
The following Summit County, Colorado businesses offer discount lift tickets for various Colorado resorts:
- ABC Ski and Sport: This excellent ski rental and ski tuning shop offers discount lift tickets for Copper Mountain, Arapahoe Basin, Ski Cooper and the Loveland Ski area. Although Loveland and Ski Cooper are not in Summit County, these local favorites already have low priced lift tickets. The extra discount sweetens the deal.
- Blue Valley Ski Rentals: This Silverthorne, Colorado ski rental shop offers discount lift tickets for Keystone, Breckenridge, Arapahoe Basin and Copper Mountain.
- Pioneer Sports: Located in Frisco, Pioneer Sports offers discount lift tickets for Keystone, Breckenridge, Arapahoe Basin and Copper Mountain. They occasionally offer shuttle services to Vail.
- Local gas stations: With gas prices being so expensive, it's nice to know that 10 gallons can buy you a free lift ticket. When your tank is running low, stop at any gas station listed and purchase 10 gallons of quality gasoline, diesel or E85. You will receive a Ski Free voucher, which is good for one free adult lift ticket with the purchase of a full-price adult lift ticket. Gas stations participating may vary from year to year so be sure to check the website for the current offer.
- Entertainment Book: The Entertainment Books occasionally offer discount list tickets for various Colorado resorts.
Keep in mind that the multi-day tickets, which are offered on the various resort websites, are often a better value than the one-day ski tickets offered at King Soopers or other Summit County businesses..
